Inbox

This is a linked view of your Task Manager database. Quickly add tasks to your inbox section. When you’re ready, give them due dates, master tasks, and/or projects. When a task’s info is filled out, click the Inbox checkbox at the right end of the database. This will send your tasks to either Sub Tasks or Master Tasks.

These can be part of a project, but only add the sub tasks to the project, so you get an accurate progress percent in the project database.

Sub Tasks

This is a linked view of your Task Manager database. In this section you will see all your sub tasks. You have a This Month view showing every incomplete sub task that’s due in the next month, an Incomplete view showing all incomplete sub tasks, and a Done view showing all complete sub tasks.

The Overdue formula property is slightly modified from Thomas Frank’s free Ultimate Tasks template. It shows a white circle when there is no due date, a blue circle when the task is due later, a green circle when the task is due today, a red circle when the task is overdue, and a checkbox when the task is done.

Master Tasks

This is a linked view of your Task Manager database. In this section you will see all your master tasks. Each master task has a progress bar which shows the percent of completed sub tasks. You have a This Month view showing every incomplete master task that’s due in the next month, an Incomplete view showing all incomplete master tasks, and a Done view showing all complete master tasks.

Projects

This is a linked view of your Project Manager database. In this section you will see all your projects. Each project shows a count of the total number of tasks attached and the progress you’ve made on them. There is a Type select property so that you can categorize your projects, and there is a Finished date property so you can mark when the project is finished. You can add any properties you want to this database to describe your projects.

The Done checkbox on this database is actually a formula that automatically checks off when Progress = 100%. That means that in the Incomplete view, finished projects automatically disappear once you’ve ticked off all the sub tasks! They go to the Done view.

Sources

The sources toggle at the bottom of the screen is where the original databases are stored.
